KYOTO, JAPAN — 100 PIECES WORLDWIDE
The varsity jacket, made in Japan.
The finest things are kept on the inside.
Why keep the best on the inside?
In Edo-period Japan, sumptuary laws forbade the display of wealth. So the merchants of Kyoto wore plain black coats — and lined them, secretly, with the finest silk in the empire.
They called it ura-masari.
“The inside surpasses the outside.”
Worn on the inside.
Kyo-ori jacquard, woven in Kyoto. The pattern cards are still cut by hand.
THE CRAFT
Four regions. One jacket.
Filmed in the workshops where it is made.
FOUR REGIONS
Made where the material lives.
-
BISHU, AICHI
Melton wool, woven slowly on vintage looms.
Air lives between the threads. -
HIMEJI, HYOGO
Kurozan leather — urushi-lacquered cowhide
that once armored samurai. Now, a sleeve. -
KYOTO
Kyo-ori jacquard lining, woven on forty-year-old looms.
The shippō pattern means the bonds between people. -
HANYU, SAITAMA
A town of garments for over a century.
Every stitch, a decision.

QUESTIONS
Details, plainly.
When will it ship?
Each jacket is made to order in Japan. Shipping begins late November 2026.
Are duties really included?
Yes. We ship DDP — the price you see is the price you pay.
What if the size isn't right?
We confirm measurements with you after reservation. Exchanges within 14 days of delivery.
Why only 100?
The materials cannot be rushed. One hundred is what four workshops can make without compromise. We will not restock this edition.
What does the ten-year repair cover?
Sleeve leather, ribbing, and lining, for ten years from delivery. We cover the work; you cover shipping to us. Wear is not damage — a jacket that has aged is a jacket that has been worn.
